I live/work as a freelancer, with fashion-industry experience spanning nearly eight years – including time as a fashion assistant to name stylists on How To Spend It, Vanity Fair and Quintessentially Magazine, then becoming my own boss as a stylist and consultant to Asia-based clients. Now I mainly work from home, TV on distractingly, with ridiculously unstable working hours, sometimes tapping at the MacBook or Skyping with clients until 4am. If I’m not creating styling-inspiration storyboards for editorial or advertorial shoots, I’m liaising with PRs via email. Fashion is not all glamorous – let’s just say it’s a commitment.
At the tender age of 30, I have friends of all ages who still think I’m 22 – I’m used to fielding questions about my flawless complexion. In fact, I don’t actually have a beauty regime. If I have good skin, it’s thanks to my strict Chinese upbringing, and wholesome soups, rice and steamed food – no processed junk. And I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. I must admit, I don’t drink enough water or hydrate my skin how I should. But isn’t English breakfast tea a healthy alternative to water?

Now, I’ve been using Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Soft Cream day and night for a month, and I’ve noticed how smooth and plump my skin feels, with a really healthy glow. The cream consistency isn’t heavy or creamy, which beats the other moisturizers I’ve tried – even the delicate skin under my eyes looks hydrated and refreshed as never before. Late nights at the keyboard or not, my skin has transformed and I’m looking like that 22-year-old again!

The idea for my Crème de la Mer shoot was to focus on the comfort zone of our ‘natural’ environment in the city, and capture notions of the organic – inspired by Crème de la Mer’s Miracle Broth™. We shot at the Pergola and Hill Garden in Hampstead, a true secret garden for Londoners. With a backdrop of Edwardian garden scenery and wild-looking plants, I wanted my wardrobe to look as simple and neutral as possible, and to go with the distinctive peach and white Crème de la Mer packaging. I wore a white pencil skirt with laser-cut geometric pattern – representing cellular skin repair – and a loose peach top paired with nude heels.
